About Sighted

The truth, mapped.

Sighted exists to give the public, researchers, and investigators a single home for reporting and corroborating UAP sightings — built like an evidence locker, not a forum.

The mission

Build the largest crowd-sourced UAP intelligence database in existence — and keep it honest.

For decades, sightings of unidentified aerial phenomena have been scattered across forum posts, Reddit threads, news reports, and private investigator logs. Patterns get lost. Witnesses get dismissed. Researchers reinvent the wheel.

We're building Sighted as the open infrastructure for collective UAP intelligence — a real-time global map, a corroboration system that lets the community validate or dispute every report, and a public archive that's easy to search and impossible to quietly bury.

What we believe

Four convictions that shape every decision.

They show up in the codebase, the moderation playbook, and the public roadmap.

Transparency over authority

Every status change has an audit log. Every moderation action is reversible. Nothing gets silently deleted.

The witness is the data

No gatekeeping. If you saw something, you can report it. Anonymous or signed — the record carries either way.

Skepticism is healthy

Community validation, AI pre-screening, and verified-investigator notes are the layers that keep the signal high.

Open infrastructure

A public Research API is on the roadmap. The same data anyone can query — no privileged backchannel.

The contract

What you can expect from us — in plain English.

  • We willPublish a full moderation audit log that anyone can read.
  • We willStrip GPS EXIF from photos before they touch our servers.
  • We willLet you delete your account and erase every report you ever filed.
  • We will notShare data with governments, intelligence services, or undisclosed third parties.
